I've recently gotten an artist to take a swing at my game,
Diggity. I found him on
BoardgameGeek.com, and it seems like he does good work and understands games. Hopefully that will punch up the graphics to a commercial level and increase the appeal of the game. I have been working on getting some design documents together for him. When working with artists in the past, I've always found it helpful to be as specific as I can at the start, so there's no confusion, but that means being pretty thorough and trying to anticipate questions. We'll see how I do - I'll post samples when we're farther along.
Looking forward to seeing what he comes up with.
